I know most sites do email signup forms, but I hate getting emails, don’t you? Nobody needs yet another thing clogging up their inbox. So I’m trying something new.
If you’d like to receive an update when I publish a new blog post, you can now sign up for web push notifications by clicking on the bell icon at the bottom right corner of my site. You will ONLY receive a notification on your desktop when I publish a new post; notifications will not go out for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe any time by clicking on the bell icon again to manage notifications.
You may need to go into your computer’s settings to enable notifications if you currently have them blocked, or the browser settings for Chrome or Safari.
Hopefully this is as painless as possible, at least compared to other methods of keeping informed these days! I find that most people are disillusioned with social media algorithms, don’t use RSS readers anymore, and would rather sign away their first born child than sign up for an email list.
